Privacy Policy

Effective date: August 20, 2026. Last updated: August 20, 2026.

This Privacy Policy explains what information JobsChachu collects from readers, why, and what choices you have. JobsChachu is an independent online publication, operated from Gujarat, India, and written for a general audience in the United States. We have tried to write this in plain language, and to describe the site as it actually is rather than reciting boilerplate. If anything here is unclear, you can reach us at privacy@jobschachu.com.

Because this is a publication rather than a service, the amount of personal information involved is small. We do not require you to create an account, we do not sell anything, and we do not ask you to hand over personal details to read an article. The main point at which you choose to give us information is the contact form.

A note on this domain’s history

This domain formerly hosted a job-listings site, and old links or cached pages may still bring people looking for that. To be clear about what we do not collect: JobsChachu does not collect resumes, CVs, application materials, employment history, or any job-application data, does not forward reader information to employers or recruiters, and is not an employment agency or job-placement service. Separately, because this is a hardware publication and readers reasonably ask, we collect no device telemetry, no hardware identifiers, and no diagnostic data from your machine. Nothing on the site reads or reports the internals of the device you visit on.

What we collect and why

We collect two kinds of information. The first is what you send us on purpose. When you use the contact form or email us, we receive your name, your email address, and whatever you write in the subject and message. We use this only to read and answer your message and to keep a record of the correspondence.

The second is what your browser sends automatically, as it does to any website. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs that may include your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you request, the page that referred you, and the date and time. We use these logs to operate the site, diagnose errors, and protect against abuse and automated attacks. From an IP address a general, city-level location can be inferred; we do not determine your precise location.

Advertising and analytics, stated honestly

At the time this policy takes effect, JobsChachu shows no advertising and has no web analytics installed. We are describing the site as it is now, and we will update this policy with a new effective date before that changes.

We may use advertising in future, and the most likely provider is Google, through its AdSense program. When advertising is live, third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies or similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies, including the DoubleClick DART cookie, enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits here and elsewhere on the internet. You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting your Google Ads Settings, and you can opt out of a third-party vendor’s use of cookies for personalised advertising through the Digital Advertising Alliance’s consumer choice tools. We are stating these controls in plain text because the site publishes no outbound links. If we ever add analytics, we will name the tool here and describe what it collects; today there is none to describe.

Your California privacy rights

We write this section for readers in California first, because much of our audience is in the United States. The California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, formally binds a for-profit business only above certain thresholds of size, data volume, or revenue from selling personal information. A new, small publication meets none of these, so we do not claim to be a covered business or that we are legally required to do the following. Instead, we extend these rights to California residents as a matter of policy, and we honour requests whether or not the thresholds are met.

Notice at collection

We tell you, at or before the point of collection, what we collect and why. That notice is this policy, and it is linked in the footer of every page.

The categories we collect

Using the CCPA’s own category names, and listing only what actually applies: identifiers, meaning your name and email from the contact form and your IP address and device or browser identifiers from server logs; internet or network activity, meaning the pages you view, the referring page, and time on the site; and geolocation, meaning a city-level location inferred from your IP address. We do not collect commercial or inference data, because no advertising or analytics that would generate it is currently live. We do not collect sensitive personal information.

Sources and business purposes

The sources are you directly, your device automatically, and, once advertising or analytics is live, the vendors that provide it. The business purposes are responding to your messages, keeping the site running and diagnosing errors, security and abuse prevention, and, in future, measuring audience and serving advertising once those are live.

Disclosure

We do not disclose personal information except to the service providers that make the site work: our hosting provider, which processes server logs, and our email delivery, which handles messages you send. Once advertising or analytics is live, the relevant categories may be processed by those vendors. We do not name a vendor here that is not actually in use.

Your rights

California residents have the following rights, and we honour each of them.

  • The right to know what personal information we have collected about you and how we have used it.
  • The right to delete the personal information we hold about you, subject to legal exceptions.
  • The right to correct inaccurate personal information.
  • The right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information.
  • The right to limit the use of sensitive personal information.
  • The right to non-discrimination for exercising any of these rights.

How to make a request

Email privacy@jobschachu.com and tell us which right you wish to exercise. To protect you, we verify a request against the information we already hold, such as the email address you contacted us from, and we do not ask for more than we need to confirm your identity. We respond within 45 days, and if we need more time we may extend once by a further 45 days and will tell you why. An authorised agent may make a request on your behalf with your written permission.

Sale and sharing

We do not sell your personal information for money. Because no advertising is live, no cross-context behavioural advertising is currently taking place. If that changes, we will update this policy with an effective date before any such advertising begins, and we will describe your opt-out.

Global Privacy Control

We treat a Global Privacy Control signal sent by your browser as a valid request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information.

Shine the Light

Under California Civil Code section 1798.83, California residents may ask about personal information shared with third parties for their direct marketing. We do not share personal information with third parties for their own direct marketing.

Minors

JobsChachu is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them, consistent with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act. If you believe a child under 13 has sent us information, write to privacy@jobschachu.com and we will delete it. We also do not sell or share the personal information of anyone we know to be under 16 without opt-in consent.

Other United States states

Residents of Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, and other states with comparable privacy laws have similar rights to access, correct, delete, and opt out. As a matter of policy, we extend comparable rights to residents of any state whose law provides them, using the same request process above.

No financial incentive

We do not offer any payment, discount, or other financial incentive in exchange for your personal information.

Annual review

We review this policy at least once a year and after any material change to how the site handles data. The effective date at the top reflects the current version.

If you are in the European Union or United Kingdom

Although the site is written for a United States audience, readers elsewhere are welcome, so this short section covers the General Data Protection Regulation and the UK GDPR. Where those laws apply, our lawful bases for processing are your consent, when you choose to contact us, and our legitimate interests in operating a secure and functional website. You have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and objection. To exercise any of them, write to privacy@jobschachu.com. Nothing in this section reduces the rights described in the California and United States sections above.

Data retention, security, and transfers

We keep contact-form messages only as long as needed to handle your enquiry and to keep a reasonable record, and server logs for a limited period for security and diagnostics, after which they are discarded or overwritten in the normal course. We take reasonable technical measures to protect the information we hold, though no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Because the site is operated from India and many readers are in the United States, information you send is processed across borders; by contacting us you understand that this transfer takes place.

The site does not publish outbound links in its articles. Any third-party service that becomes involved, such as an advertising provider in future, has its own privacy practices that we do not control, and we encourage you to read the policies of any service you interact with.

This section describes how JobsChachu uses cookies and similar technologies. Cookies are small files a website may store in your browser. At the time this policy takes effect, the site sets no non-essential cookies and runs no advertising or analytics cookies. The categories below describe what is in use now and what may be used later, in line with the data categories above.

  • Strictly necessary. Cookies or equivalent storage needed for the site and its content management system to function and to keep it secure. These do not identify you personally and are not used for tracking.
  • Functional. Storage that remembers a preference you set, such as a display choice. Used only if you set such a preference.
  • Analytics. None are in use today. If we add audience measurement, this category will describe it before it goes live.
  • Advertising. None are in use today. If advertising is added, advertising cookies, including those set by Google as described above, would fall in this category, and this policy would be updated first.

You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings, and you can set your browser to refuse them, though strictly necessary storage is needed for the site to work properly.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site changes, for example before advertising begins. When we do, we revise the effective date at the top, and material changes are described in plain terms. Your continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
